GONZABA SCHOLARSHIP FUND

​Dear Gonzaba Family Members,

 
          In 1997, during the planning of the Gonzaba Family Reunion, family members met to organize, plan and schedule the 2nd Annual Gonzaba Family Reunion.  During these meetings, a suggestion was made to establish a scholarship fund for children of Gonzaba family members seeking to further their education through attending a college or university.  Children of Gonzaba family descendents would be eligible to receive scholarship funds to be used towards their first or second year of their college expenses.  Although, at this time, the idea was placed on hold to be considered at a later time.  It was not until the next Family Reunion that the idea of a Gonzaba Family Scholarship Fund was mentioned again.  It was in 1999, that the Gonzaba Family Scholarship was established and has been in existence since this time.

           As you know, the gift of education is priceless.  This is a very important step towards ensuring the success of our children and the future generation.  Together as a family, we must instill the importance of continuing their education and show them that we as a family support their dreams of higher education.

          Since, the Scholarship Fund was established, we have awarded twenty seven scholarships totaling over $15,000.  With your support, we can continue our success and award even more scholarships in 2024!  In order to achieve this goal, we need your help and support.  Our fundraising plans are as follows:
 
         Pledges will be sought from family members.  For example a family member may pledge any dollar amount in the name of a loved one (either deceased or living). Families can also make a pledge in their family’s name. PLEDGES CAN BE PAID IN INSTALLMENTS, BUT THE TOTAL AMOUNT PLEDGED MUST BE RECEIVED BY August 1, 2025.
